Choose how visitors will reach your assistant
Echo7 gives you three ways to publish your assistant. You’ll find all of them on the assistant’s page under Embedding in Websites.
| Option | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Integration Script | Adds a floating chat button to every page where the script is placed. | Most websites – visitors can ask a question from any page. |
| IFrame for Integration | Shows the chat inside a specific area of a page, at the size you choose. | Help centres, support pages or portals with a dedicated chat area. |
| URL to Display the AI Assistant | A direct link to the assistant – no code needed. | Emails, QR codes, intranet links or quick sharing. |
Add the floating chat button
Open the Data tab, click the contextual button on your assistant and choose Edit.
Scroll to Embedding in Websites.
Optionally, enter the Text Displayed Above the Button – a short prompt such as “Got a question? Ask me”. You can add it in each language you use.
Copy the Integration Script. It already contains your assistant ID and settings such as the theme and button position.
Paste the script into your website, ideally in a template or footer area so it appears on every page. If you use a CMS such as WordPress, this is usually a “header and footer scripts” setting or a custom HTML block.
To place the chat in a fixed area instead, copy the IFrame for Integration code and paste it into the page where you want the chat panel to appear.
Set up what visitors see
Under AI Assistant Interface, you can shape the first impression of your assistant:
- Default Theme – choose Light, Light Green, Light Orange, Dark, Dark Green or Dark Orange.
- Top Icon and AI Assistant Title – add your logo (32 x 32 pixels works best) and a short title.
- Opening Message – explain what the assistant can help with.
- Suggested Questions – add realistic questions that match your content, so visitors know what to ask.
- AI Disclaimer Message – let users know they’re talking to an AI and should check important answers.
- Ask Users for Feedback – show thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons so you can see which answers work.
Good to know
- Multilingual fields should be filled in for every language your visitors use. If one is missing, the primary language is used instead.
- Use Preview in the assistant’s context menu to check how everything looks before you publish.
Match your brand with CSS
If you’d like the assistant to match your website exactly, go to Customise the AI Assistant Interface with CSS. There are three separate fields – one for the script (floating button), one for the iframe and one for the direct URL – so you can style each one for the context it appears in.
Protect your assistant
Under Security, you can set a Maximum Questions per Minute to prevent abuse and unexpected credit use, and a friendly message to show when the limit is reached. You can also restrict the assistant to specific IP addresses or networks if it should only be used internally.
