The four roles

Every Echo7 account has a role. Your role decides what you can see and change, so each person only works with the information they’re authorised to access.

Role Who it is What they can do
Administrator The person or company that runs the Echo7 environment. Full access: system settings, users, resellers, managers, assistants and all platform features.
Reseller A partner who offers Echo7 to their own clients. Manages their own clients (managers) and can see their assistants, plans, usage and credit consumption. No access to system settings or other resellers.
Manager The company or organisation using Echo7 for its own assistants. Creates and configures assistants, manages documents and knowledge, views usage and credits, and – where permitted – manages its own users.
User The person chatting with your assistant. Asks questions through the chat or other channels. Has no access to the administration area.

Most customers work at Manager level: you create your assistants, train them and track how they’re used, while your data stays separate from other organisations.

Levels and sharing

Many items in Echo7 – such as integrations, database connectors, workflows and retraining – can be set at different levels: System, Reseller, Manager or Assistant. Something defined at manager level can be used by all of that manager’s assistants; something defined at assistant level applies only to that assistant.
