Start with the Conversation Log

The Conversation Log shows every question users have asked and how your assistant replied. It’s the best place to find answers that need improving.

Open it from the assistant’s context menu. For each message you’ll see the question, the date, a % Confidence score, the tokens used and the credits consumed. Expand a row to see the full conversation exactly as the user saw it.

What to look for

You see… What to do
A correct answer Nothing – but it’s a useful check.
A partly correct or incomplete answer Correct it and add it to the training data.
An incorrect answer Edit the answer and save it as a new question and answer.
A common question you didn’t expect Create a new Q&A component so future answers are accurate.
A low confidence score Check what content was used and consider adding a more specific component.
High token use Your sources may be too broad – split them into smaller, focused documents.

Fix an answer in seven steps

1

Open the Conversation Log.

2

Expand the row for the conversation you want to review.

3

Find the answer that needs improving.

4

Click the edit button on that answer. The Source Component page opens, pre-filled with the answer.

5

Correct the text, add missing detail or rewrite it.

6

Save the component. It becomes part of your assistant’s training data.

7

Next time someone asks a similar question, the assistant uses your improved answer.

Example

  • Question: Can I cancel an order that has already been shipped?
  • Original answer: Yes, you can always cancel the order at any time. (Incorrect.)
  • Improved component: An order that has already been shipped can’t be cancelled directly. Once it arrives, you can request a return if the terms allow it.

Check what your assistant has learned

From any source’s menu, choose Component List to see the exact text Echo7 extracted. Each component shows a status: green (completed), orange (still processing), red (error) or light blue (removed because it had no useful content). Use Locked Component to stop the assistant using outdated content without deleting it.

Retraining and the cache

  • Training runs automatically whenever you add or change a source, so you rarely need to retrain manually.
  • Use Retrain by Downloading Pages to refresh a website or cloud source straight away.
  • Echo7 caches answers to repeated questions to save time and credits. After a major content update, use Clear AI Assistant Cache so users get the latest answers.

Make it a habit

Turn on Ask Users for Feedback to collect thumbs up and down, and Daily Conversations emails under Notifications. A short weekly review of disliked and low-confidence answers keeps your assistant improving.
