Preview your assistant

Before you add your assistant to your website, try it the way your users will.

Choose AI Assistant Preview from the assistant’s context menu. It opens your assistant in a new tab, using your current settings – theme, title, opening message and suggested questions.

Test with real questions

1

Collect 20–30 real questions from your support inbox, sales team or website search.

2

Ask each one in the preview, including variations and follow-up questions.

3

Check that answers are accurate, complete and in the right tone.

4

Try questions your content doesn’t cover – the assistant should say so, ask for clarification or offer escalation rather than guess.

5

Ask in each language your users speak.

Check your settings

  • Opening message and suggested questions match what the assistant can actually answer.
  • AI disclaimer tells users they’re talking to an AI.
  • Feedback buttons are switched on so you can learn from real use.
  • Escalation appears when it should, and every button leads somewhere useful.
  • Maximum questions per minute is set to protect against abuse.

Test workflows and integrations

Use the workflow debugger to test at least three cases for every workflow: a valid request, one with missing information and one where an external service fails. In your assistant’s settings, check that every enabled workflow shows as executable and every required agent is enabled.

Test document processing

If you use IDP, run real documents through the IDP processing test and check both the graphic view and the JSON before connecting any external system.

After launch

Keep an eye on things in the first few weeks

  • Review the Conversation Log for low-confidence and disliked answers.
  • Turn on daily conversation emails for your team.
  • Watch credit usage and the satisfaction indicators on the dashboard.
  • Read our guide to improving your assistant’s answers.
